Bank of us had plenty of presence at Friday's TasICT Awards, with five finalist places across three projects that are helping support our customers, our people and our community.
The finalists included:
- Big Plans – A Show Day Money Adventure (three categories)
- App3 – Best Delivery of a Technology Project
- Service Desk – Best Delivery of a Technology Project
Chief Information Officer Nick Bird said it was great to see Bank of us recognised alongside some of Tasmania's largest and most respected technology organisations.
"To have five finalist places across three very different projects is something the whole organisation can be proud of," Nick said.
"We were up against organisations including the University of Tasmania, CSIRO and other leading technology businesses. Simply making the finalist list was recognition of the quality of work our teams are delivering.
"What I love is that each project reflects a different way we're putting people at the heart of banking - whether that's making banking easier for customers through App3, providing better support for our people through the Service Desk, or helping the next generation build confidence with money through Big Plans."
A win for Big Plans
Big Plans - A Show Day Money Adventure was announced as the winner of the Social Innovation Technology Award.
Chief People and Customer Officer Jill Jetson-Shumbusho said the award recognised not just the technology behind the game, but the purpose that inspired it.
"It's pretty special that a bank which is more than 150 years young continues to find new and creative ways to make a positive difference in our community," Jill said.
"Big Plans is a wonderful example of what can happen when talented Tasmanians come together around a shared purpose. It's a fun way to help children build confidence with money, and we're incredibly proud of everyone who helped bring it to life."
