Nowadays, it's much easier to access your money overseas, and Bank of us VISA Credit and Debit Cards are your perfect travel companions – accepted at more than 24 million outlets worldwide!
But it makes sense to plan ahead, and to make sure you understand the best and safest ways to access your money overseas.
Login to Internet Banking or call us on 1300 306 716 with your travel itinerary before you leave and let us know if your plans change. That way when our advanced fraud monitoring system picks up overseas transactions, we'll know that you're safely enjoying your trip and that the transactions are legitimate, based on your travel plans. If you don't tell us your plans, you'll run the risk of having your transaction declined and/or card cancelled.
You can still receive SMS OTPs while you're overseas if you've activated international roaming on your device. It's best to check with your mobile service provider before you leave about any costs you may incur. Remember you only receive an SMS OTP for certain transactions, like if you're paying a new payee or updating your contact details. Learn more
