Bank of us appoints new Chief Financial Officer
Bank of us has appointed Matthew Ciezki to the role of Chief Financial Officer.
He replaces Gerald White who is retiring after 10 years service with Bank of us.
Matt joined Bank of us in 2017 and has held various roles in Treasury and Finance, most recently as Finance Manager.
Bank of us CEO Paul Ranson said, “Following an extensive search and applications from many high quality external candidates, we’re very pleased to promote Matt to the role”.
“Matt has worked diligently on a personal development program for several years. He has impressed with his depth of knowledge, his understanding of the role and with plans for developing the finance and treasury functions”.
Born and raised in Launceston, Matt has a Bachelor of Business from UTAS and is a Chartered Accountant. He has worked in accounting practice and industry in Tasmania.
Matt said he was looking forward to building relationships and culture across the Bank of us teams. He said Bank of us had provided opportunities for career development and felt it was important to be a part of the customer owned banking sector with its focus on putting customers first.
Paul Ranson acknowledged Gerald’s contribution to the Bank of us, “Gerald has played a key role in leading the bank through an exciting but challenging period by building capability in people and systems to support the growth of the bank. He’s established a strong foundation for the bank to develop sustainably into the future.
We thank him for his contribution and wish him well in retirement”.
Matt will officially step into the role in September 2023.
