Bank of us appoints new intern director
Tasmanian owned bank, Bank of us has appointed Emily Caswell as its new intern director as part of its annual board traineeship program.
Now in its second year, the board appoints a 12-month trainee director to observe board meetings and be mentored by a board member.
Ms Caswell is currently the State Manager of the Tasmanian State Office, Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
Her background includes strategic policy development and program delivery in the Australian Public Service, private sector consulting, and she is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Caswell said she is particularly interested in governance and strategy and how boards operate ethically and effectively in an increasingly complex environment.
“I’m also interested in how businesses manage non-financial risks, and embrace environmental, social and governance matters”.
Bank of us board Chair, Helen Galloway welcomed Emily to the board.
