You can now choose a Visa Debit and Credit card with a lighter environmental footprint
We've made the switch from PVC plastic cards to cards made from Polylactic Acid (PLA), a compostable material that comprises sugar cane and cornstarch.
Not only do they feel super smooth, they use less energy to produce and will decompose faster than PVC cards without turning into microplastics.
To maintain functionality and compliance, the card's magnetic strip, chip and hologram are not made from PLA.
You can use it just like your existing card knowing that it won't cause toxic pollution when it reaches the end of its life.
The cards have a sleek new design that you'll be happy to flash around! The design includes raised dots to assist vision impaired users and they are digitally printed to avoid debossing of important details.
The cards are available to new customers and will be rolled out as replacement cards for existing customers.
