"It is totally understandable to feel overwhelmed by the way technology is changing. But if you are unsure, ask for help."
Jarred Ranson, Acting Technology Lead, Bank of us

Jarred was speaking in support of Cyber Security Awareness Month, which is celebrated nationally, raising awareness along the theme of: ‘Cyber security is everyone’s business’.
“As a Bank, the security we offer our customers is paramount, so we are constantly evolving and improving our response to changes in the digital world,” Jarred said.
“But we also know it can be hard for people to keep pace given the rate of the change we’ve had, especially since social media and smart phones arrived.”
Jarred said there were a few simple practices people should adopt, such as updating computers and phones, changing passwords routinely and not using the same password for different accounts.
“The best piece of advice I could give is don’t ignore it,” Jarred said. “If you are unsure, come in and talk to us and we’ll he happy to help.
“Our philosophy at Bank of us is to offer quality digital services that people can access from anywhere and around the clock.
“At the same time, we believe in having someone on hand during our store hours – either in person, over the phone, or by email – if you need that personal touch.”
“I think this approach is one of the reasons a recent customer satisfaction delivered a 97% rating, compared with 89% for other customer-owned banks and 78% for the broader banking sector.
“It’s because we put people at the heart of banking.”
